The IWA Leading Edge Conference on Water and Wastewater Technologies is designed to be the place for sharing the latest insights into how pioneering science, technological innovation and leading practices will shape the major transformation in water management that is underway. This edition’s rich programme sees sessions spanning for a whole week and includes the following highlights:

Workshops: Three workshop sessions are currently scheduled to be held during the day on Monday 28 March. In the morning, Workshop 1 will address “Aerobic Granular Sludge Biomass Development for WWTPs: Connecting Possibilities with Opportunities” and Workshop 2 will discuss “Bringing Leading Edge Technology to the Market – A path of Innovation” . In the afternoon, Workshop 3 will focus on “Raw and Treated Water Augmentation (aka Direct Potable Reuse) – the Time has Come”.

Plenary Sessions: On Tuesday 29 March, inspiring keynote speakers will deliver thought-provoking sessions that no one wants to miss. All of the keynote speakers are top professionals and prominent figures from across the water sector. Find out here who you can expect to meet.

Technical Sessions: During Wednesday 30 March and Thursday 31 March, the conference agenda will be driven by technical sessions. You will have the opportunity to explore the latest leading-edge developments in depth by choosing either the Drinking Water Track or the Wastewater Track. Check all session details here.

Technical Tours: Two fantastic and insightful technical tours are set to take place on Friday 1 April. Whether you choose to join the Technical Tour of the Truckee Meadows Water Reclamation Facility or the Technical Tour of Truckee Meadows Water Authority’s Water Supply System (From Lake Tahoe to Chalk Bluff Water Treatment Plant) you will certainly enjoy the interactivity they involve. Take a look at what each of these tours has to offer.

Posters: Newly added presentations have been added as part of the poster display. More than 50 presentations will focus on key topics such as digital water solutions, advancements in resource recovery, potable water reuse, drinking water quality and wastewater technologies. 15 poster presentations will focus solely on topics related to emerging contaminants and antibiotic resistance in water sources! There will also be 3 presentations dedicated to wastewater-based epidemiology and the latest findings on Sars-Cov-2.
